Collection: Rebecca Birtel Madura

Rebecca Birtel Madura is a New Orleans-based artist working in oil, with a focus on large-scale still-lifes, florals, abstractions, and recently, the addition of plein-air painting. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Fine Art and French, she also holds a master’s from Tulane University and a post-graduate certificate in non-profit management. After over 30 years as an art educator, including at the New Orleans Museum of Art, she now devotes herself to her studio practice.
