Cucuron was born from one of those dreamy summer days filled with warm breezes and meandering strolls. While in Provence, France, with their two young girls, founders, Megan and Michael, stumbled upon Cucuron, a picturesque village with an even more charming market.  It was a traveler’s dream with local artisans encircling a tree-lined canal.  Megan briefly stopped to admire an artist’s work, but realizing she couldn’t easily carry it home, she quickly moved on.

After stopping for a gelato on the square, they packed up their finds and headed to the car. Megan idly thought out loud, “Wouldn’t it be incredible if we could curate a selection of the best regional art and also offer shipping?”  It seemed like a fleeting thought, but it kept tugging at her.

Upon their return to New Orleans, the couple eventually launched Cucuron with a mission to empower travelers and support local artists.  Cucuron exists for those who love to explore, who want to showcase their love of place, and who want to support local artists with ease. 

We’re excited to launch the brand in our hometown of New Orleans and look forward to adding more destinations in the future.
