Artist Bio

For Marti McEnery, creating art brings enormous peace and calm. It always has. She has been a doodler, painter, potter, and papier-mâchér! Creating connects her to her truest self. She earned a BFA in studio art from the University of Arizona and has continued her studies at the New Orleans Academy Of Fine Art.
Artistic Process

I am fascinated with the shapes, patterns and colors found in nature. I love the challenge of drawing and painting plants, insects and flowers as I see them but lately am moving into a looser representation. I am most interested in texture and composition. I always try to work from real life.
