Yael Henderson is a New Orleans-based artist who began her creative journey as a handbag designer, featuring her work in prestigious publications such as UK Vogue, Glamour, and People StyleWatch. After a successful decade of collaborating with markets, showrooms, and influencers, she embraced motherhood and returned to her first love—studio art. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas State University, Yael’s current work explores vibrant abstracts and the female form, celebrating the so-called imperfections that make women beautiful, and capturing the raw, untamed aspects of femininity.

I've always found the female body to be beautiful and ever-changing, but entering motherhood deepened my fascination with its capabilities. In a world where the focus on a woman's body is overwhelming—too big, too thin, how did she get that way? Is it natural?—it feels like the noise is deafening. I find it powerful to acknowledge that, despite society’s opinions and judgments, the female body is inherently strong and beautiful, imperfections and all.
